Here are some of the main differences in pronunciation. Listen to the difference in the way words are pronounced in British and American English.

't' and 'd' sounds: you can hear the 't' sound in British English in the word 'bitter'. In American English it sounds more like 'bidder'.

'butter' sounds more like 'budder' in American English.

The 'o' sound in dog is pronounced differently in British and American English.

The 'a' sound in words like 'can't', 'laugh', 'dance', 'plant'.

British and American English also use different words for the same thing. For example, an elevator in American English is a lift in British English. A sidewalk in American is a pavement in British, and a car boot in British English is a trunk in American

It's obvious that British and American English have so many differences.
Personally, I think that American English is much easier than British English.
I like to speak in a very American way. But when it comes to my writings, I apply the British English style.
